yoyo! i really like David Hockney and this technique! i want to use is to show the confusion and disorientation of my childhood and also me today. i want to fuse photos of my little brother and myself to show the comparisons yet also the differences of eras.

Duane Michaels

This is Duane Michaels' work. He uses this technique a lot and i like the way it uses two images in the same photo.

the way i use it is to represent multiple emotions and how crowded it is in ones mind; To show Confusion and disorientation etc.

this is my little brother. i edited his eyes out to help show the idea of obliviousness. its to show that he is blind to see what his life is turning into and that he cant see the mistakes that hes making. as my little brother is used to represent myself when i was younger it means that there are definitely regrets and that i had no idea that this is what my life was to turn out to.. idk if that makes any sense.

this is myself with my mouth edited out to show the lack of voice that i have in my life and the idea that i am struggling to find alot of choices in my life.. idk if that makes sense too. hahah

i like this idea as it is a split image showing two brothers(Im guessing hey are brothers). i want to do this maybe on my last board because in my last board i want to show less individual images of me and my little brother and more photos where we are both in the same image.

i like this image as it shows the physical difference between two generations. i want to replicate this and use it on my folio.

Dope Idea

I really like what i see in this picture. i want to be able to do this using either a shadow of me with my little brother standing, or a shadow of my little brother with me standing. to show a sort of look into the past and/or the future. i also want to use my uniform with my little brother standing there to show how he feels he needs to fit into something as if he had these expectations.

this is my little brother. i want to capture him in a happy mood to show the division between him, a 5 year old, no care in the world, happy-go-lucky kid to me, a 17 year old stressed, overwhelmed student with high expectations of himself.

ive always like these high contrast, black and white photos. i like how much detail it shows and id like to implement this technique in my folio.

i like this image as it shows the brighter side of a child. i want to make my little brother seem more 'child like' im not sure i want him to be doing the same stuff as me in my photos. i want there to be a contrast between him and me, i want to portray him as a kid, having fun and being happy. then me, no emotion, seems empty, trying to find motivation for anything, plain colors to represent the lack of motivation. and in his photos, bright, colorful, fun, all over the place. hahah i dont even know if that makes sense.

im not sure who these photos are by, but i like the way that they are arranged in a sort of 'twisted spine' arrangement the way that they are winding down the image...

PROGRESS UPDATE

This is my little brother Levi. i need more ideas to continue the line that flows down the photos. I like these photos yet are limited to ideas and could use help with that. I could also use help in taking photos of myself in that i need to manipulate the light in ways that would show diversity and development.

OK BEAR WITH ME now this is the brady bunch. ive used this type of photography with me and my little brother. with us in  'grid format'. with us lookin around hahah SOUNDS CHEESY I KNOW. but i needed  to find something that did the same thing. i dont know the artist model and this was all that i could think of.

i want to use multiple models in my folio to show how the stress of growing up affects different people, with different circumstances and values. I also need to star taking photos, i am aware of the importance of starting as early as possible, so il try aiiggght.

Oh hey there its Samuel! I have been talking to Mrs Clemence, and we have come up with a good idea for my concept, which is how much expectations and stress and pressure teens face these days, i can DEFINATELY relate to this. i feel like some of the artist models i have researched can fit into this concept such as motion photograpy.
