Urban Environment

Urban environment

Street photography is an art that is used to capture the human condition in an urban environment often being surrounded by natural or man-made scenarios or objects.

Candid photography.
Candid Photography is when photos are taken without any prior preparation, usually involving motion. It is best used when the subjects are unaware that they are being captured, and when they are caught off guard doing everyday things. Some professional photographers develop candid photography into an art form. Arthur Fellig, better known as Weegee, was one of the great photographers to document life in the streets of New York to often capture life and death at their rawest edges. For example he worked at night and competed with the police to be first at the scene of a crime, selling his photographs to tabloids and photographic agencies. I think that his work is interesting and is one of the most real and raw photographers I’ve seen.
